Rimba Villas is an eco-friendly resort comprising three unique villa retreats where we promote self reconnection and soul nourishing in a natural environment. What does ‘Rimba’ mean? ‘Rimba’ in Indonesian means ‘tropical forest’; chosen because of our love for the plants, flowers and trees found in the area, all of which play a dominant role in the natural and organic vibe you’ll find in our villas. How do I get to Rimba Villas? We are located in the North-West corner of Gili Air. From Bali, you can reach the island by fast boat in only an hour and a half. Alternatively, you can fly to Lombok International Airport and continue by taxi which will take you to Bangsal Harbour in an hour. From the harbour it’s just a 15 minute ride on the public boat to the island. Are you able to organise the transfer to Gili Air? Yes we are. We work with the best agencies to offer you a stress-free transfer from either Bali or Lombok, straight to your Rimba Villa. How far is Rimba Villas from the closest beach? The Rimba complex is just 100 meters from the most beautiful white sand beach in Gili Air. What is the best way to move around the island? Gili Air is a motor-free island; there are no cars or motorbikes. The best way to get around is by walking or cycling. You can walk around the whole island in just 45 min, and cross from north to south in less than 30 min. We have a small fleet of Rimba bikes to enable you to fully explore the island. Is it true that in Gili Air there are occasional power cuts? Yes it is, and that is why here at Rimba we have a generator to keep your villa up and running. Can we book island activities through Rimba Villas? Of course you can! Terms and Conditions Reservations are confirmed once full payment is received. We hold your reservation for one week to allow your payment to reach our account, after that if not received, your dates will be released. Available payment methods include international bank transfer, TransferWise, debit or credit card (additional 3% charge, Amex is not currently accepted) and PayPal (additional 5% charge). Any refund processed by Rimba Villas in another currency which is not IDR, will be subject to the exchange rate on the day the payment is processed. We are not responsible for any fluctuation in currency rates. An extra bed and baby cot can be arranged. We ask our guests to book these at the time of the reservation as we have limited availability. Our guests can expect a place of quiet and calm at Rimba Villas. No parties or events are therefore allowed. We ask our guests to respect the quiet hours between 9pm and 7am. Cancellation Policy Cancellations received 30 days before the check in date, will follow a partially refundable cancellation policy: 50% of the total of the reservation will be refunded. Cancellations received within 30 days of the check in date are 100% non refundable. Any requests to amend the standard policy will be taken into consideration and pre-agreed with our guests before any reservation is made. Written confirmation will be sent via email. We advise our guests to buy travel insurance to cover any possible cancellation fees. It could occasionally happen that, due to adverse weather conditions, the fast boats to the Gili islands are not operating. Alternatively, you can travel by slow ferry, or book a short flight from Bali to Lombok. Any travel disruptions will not change the standard cancellation policy attached to your booking.
